After-school youth program

Cooktown Events Centre after-School youth program provides a relaxed, youth-focused drop-in space for young people aged 10–17 years to unwind, connect and get active after school.

Sessions run throughout Term 1 at the Cooktown Events Centre and feature a rotating mix of sport, recreation and social activities including basketball, laser tag, music, team games, skate park activities and more.

This program operates as a drop-in youth session and is not a registered or fully supervised after-school care service. Young people may arrive and leave independently at any time. Attendance is assumed to be with parental permission.

Delivered by CDCC and proudly funded by the Queensland Government’s Youth Development Partnership Fund.
