August 2025 – Ordinary Council Meeting in Rossville

Join us at the Rossville Community Hall for our August 2025 Ordinary Council Meeting and Community Catch up event.

These meetings, held monthly, are categorised as ordinary meetings, where routine matters are deliberated upon. Usually convened at the Council Chambers located at 10 Furneaux Street, Cooktown, our August 2025 Ordinary Council meeting is being held in Rossville and is – as always – open to the public, fostering transparency and community engagement.

Attendance at these meetings is mandatory for all Councillors. Furthermore, the Chief Executive Officer, along with members of the Executive Leadership Team or relevant Council Officers, participate in the proceedings, offering necessary information or advice as requested by the Council.

After the meeting, community members are also encouraged to join the Mayor, Councillors and Executive team at our Community Catch up event. This is your chance to discuss local priorities and concerns, ask questions and connect with your councillors, and Council staff in a relaxed and friendy setting. Light refreshments will be provided

We endeavour to ensure the agendas and reports for each Council meeting are available on our website before close of business on Friday before each Council meeting.

Minutes are the official record of business transacted at Council meeting. A draft of copy of the minutes are available for inspected at Councils public office and online within 5 business days after the meeting has concluded.
