Youth Drop In Edor
Every Friday | 3:00 PM – 4:45 PM | Cooktown Events Centre
Free weekly fun for youth aged 10–17 years!
Join us for a fun and active Friday afternoon at the Cooktown Events Centre with a game of Edor — a fast-paced chasing and tagging game that originated in the Aurukun Aboriginal community in North Queensland.
Also known as Idor, Ida, or the running game, Edor is a lively team sport that blends teamwork, strategy, and endurance. Players work together to tag and chase the “Edor” — the chosen runner who tries to reach their team’s goal line without being tagged. Each time a tag is made, the direction of the game changes, keeping players alert, agile, and laughing all the way through!
