Cook Shire grants, funding and partnership opportunities
Cook Shire Council is committed to fostering positive change across our diverse region through strategic financial support.

Our grants, sponsorshipsand in‑kind support play a crucial role in uplifting local groups, businesses, and individuals—fueling community well‑being, economic resilience, and regional vibrancy.

All initiatives align with the themes of Places for People, Well‑Being & Empowerment, Accessibility & Connectivity, Economic Development, and Environmental Responsibility, as laid out in our Community and Corporate Plans

 

Funding Streams

Funding Streams Council’s Community Grants and Support Program includes four funding streams:

  • Community & Economic Development Grants: up to two rounds annually; up to $6,000 per application
  • Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) delivered in partnership with Arts Queensland, invests in local arts, culture, and heritage to cultivate inclusive, creative, and dynamic communities
  • Sponsorship: year-round; up to $4,000 per organisation, $1,000 for individuals. 
  • In-kind support: by exception for plant/equipment hire, or council staff time

Community & Economic Development Grants

Supporting locally driven events, economic growth, small business and community spirit.

Empowering arts, culture, and heritage events and activations as vital elements of an inclusive, diverse community and a robust and resilient region.

Council Sponsorships

Partnering with community organisations, and individuals to create opportunities, build capacity and celebrate what makes Cook Shire unique.

Request a Letter of Support

If you are looking to apply to other funding programs, under Federal or State governments or through philanthropic organisations, Council may be able to assist by providing you with a letter of support.
