Sandbagging available Coen, Cooktown, Ayton, Rossville

Free sandbags will be available in Coen, Cooktown, Ayton and Rossville from Wednesday 18 March 2026.

Fill your own sandbagging stations will be open from 9:00am to assist residents ahead of the forthcoming 34U weather event.

  • Cooktown: SES Headquarters, Charlotte Street

  • Ayton & Bloomfield: Ayton Wharf

  • Rossville: Rossville Marketplace

  • Coen: Behind the JS Love Building

Sandbags will be provided. Community members are encouraged to take practical steps to protect their properties and to collect sandbags early if they may be needed.
