Dive and discover the wonders of the reef without getting wet!

Sure to captivate both the young and the young at heart, Cooktown Library is hosting free virtual reef tours these school holidays.

With three different adventures you can enjoy, simply head into the Cooktown Library where the the sessions will be live-streamed! 

Added bonus: When you and your children take part in the library, you will also get to enjoy reef-themed crafts after the screenings.

Adaptations for Survival

From mobile homes to snot sleeping bags, reef creatures of all varieties have come up with unique ways to keep themselves safe.

All about Sea Turtles

What is the life cycle of a sea turtle? Where do they go to breed and feed, and what are the dangers they are facing? Join us to find out more about these amazing creatures and the actions that are being taken to protect them.

Growing up on the reef

Discover the life cycles of a variety of reef animals including crabs, turtles sharks and fish.

After more reef-themed school holiday fun? Then stick around at the library for the special, underwater inspired, Holiday Lego Club, held 2-4pm each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the school holidays.
