April 2025 – Ordinary Council Meeting

These meetings, held monthly, are categorised as ordinary meetings, where routine matters are deliberated upon. Convened at the Council Chambers located at 10 Furneaux Street, Cooktown, unless stated otherwise, these meetings are open to the public, fostering transparency and community engagement.

Attendance at these meetings is mandatory for all Councillors. Furthermore, the Chief Executive Officer, along with members of the Executive Leadership Team or relevant Council Officers, participate in the proceedings, offering necessary information or advice as requested by the Council.

We endeavour to ensure the agendas and reports for each Council meeting are available on our website before close of business on Friday before each Council meeting.

Minutes are the official record of business transacted at Council meeting. A draft of copy of the mintues are available for inspected at Councils public office and online within 5 business days after the meeting has concluded.
