Botanic Gardens Week 2026
Celebrate nature, creativity and community during Botanic Gardens Week 2026 at the Cooktown Botanic Gardens.
Running from Monday 18 May to Sunday 24 May 2026, Botanic Gardens Week features a diverse program of free and low-cost activities designed to encourage people of all ages to explore, learn and connect with one of Cooktown’s most treasured natural spaces.
Throughout the week, residents and visitors can enjoy hands-on workshops, competitions, guided experiences and family-friendly activities celebrating biodiversity, conservation, creativity and wellbeing.

- Yoga in the Gardens
- Botanic Gardens Week Trivia Night

- Beekeeping Information Stall
The week concludes with Botanic Gardens Day on Sunday 24 May, featuring live music, giant lawn games, face painting, kids activities and a full day of entertainment and garden-inspired fun.
