Exhibition Opening: Nature Unveiled – Colours and Patterns in Nature
Join us for the opening of Nature Unveiled – Colours and Patterns in Nature, a vibrant new exhibition by two Cairns-based artists, Glenis Lawler and Sue Schreiber.
This exhibition explores the intricate patterns and vivid colour palettes found in the natural world of Far North Queensland. Glenis Lawler’s works celebrate the tropical environment through a range of mediums including oil, acrylic, pencil and ink. Her process of layering colour builds immersive scenes that highlight the beauty and complexity of nature.
Sue Schreiber presents a striking collection of digital artworks that challenge perception. What appears at first as traditional photography reveals itself to be digitally constructed landscapes, meticulously layered using original photographs, filters, and digital painting. Her pieces invite a deeper look, revealing the hidden geometries and illusions embedded within the natural world.
Come and experience nature through the lens of two unique and complementary artistic perspectives.
Light refreshments will be provided.
