80s Dance Party : Family friendly fluro FUN!

Crowds in 80s aerobics outfits dancing

Cooktown was alive with neon colors, teased hair, and leg warmers on Saturday, 7 September, as plenty of 80s aerobics fans desended on the Shire Hall for an unforgettable 80s Dance Party. Hosted by 80s aerobics queen Tammy Tooth, the night was filled with energetic moves, nostalgic tunes, and plenty of fun.

The community came dressed to impress, with prizes awarded to the best-dressed 80s party-goers: with Chanelle Olaker, Barry Reddell and the Pennells.

The evening’s atmosphere was complemented by the CWA’s delicious menu, while the team from the Wallaby Creek Festival kept everyone refreshed with a variety of drinks available for purchase.

Families enjoyed the event, with free entry for children under 18, making it a perfect night out for all ages.

A HUGE thank you to Tammy Tooth for the fantastic night – word along Charlotte Street was that there were pleny of people feeling the pinch of long forgotten disco muscles the next day!
