Bloomfield Road and More!
Great news for residents and visitors of Cook Shire! As of Tuesday 1 October 2024, our dedicated contractor has officially kicked off the road work on Bloomfield Road. Starting at Harlow Avenue, they will be making steady progress through various sites as weather and conditions permit. We’re excited to report that the installation of new pipe culverts is expected to wrap up by 20 October 2024.
But that’s not all! Boral has also begun essential patching work along the road, starting from the bustling Rossville Markets area and moving back toward Shiptons Flat Road.
In addition, our hardworking Council crew is making fantastic strides, beginning their road work at the Wujal Wujal boundary and working backward between Olufsen and the middle shop section. They have completed the subgrade and are currently busy carting pavement material. If everything goes smoothly, we anticipate sealing the last two sites by mid-November 2024, followed by two additional sites by mid-December 2024. The final long section is set to be completed by January 2025.
