Annan Water Treatment Plant is currently undergoing significant upgrades
Council is excited to see the progression of the comprehensive overhaul of electrical circuits and the operator control system.
Thanks to a Queensland Government Grant; Building Our Regions, Council has implemented a crucial PLC SCADA Electrical upgrade. This project involved replacing all electrical circuits and the operator control system, which enhances the Treatments Plant’s reliability and efficiency.
These improvements significantly reduce the likelihood of downtime due to component failure, allowing us to isolate and address issues more effectively, ensuring our community experiences minimal disruption to the town’s water supply. With these upgrades, we are ensuring the smooth operation of our Water Treatment Plant, reinforcing our commitment to maintaining high standards in water treatment and service delivery for our community.
Check out the before and after photos that highlight the transformation! This upgrade represents a vital step towards a more efficient and resilient water treatment system. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to enhance Cook Shire’s infrastructure.
