Discolouration of Cooktown water supply

Please be advised that Council is working to resolve the cause of discoloured water from the Annan Water Treatment Plant.

Although the water may appear discoloured, it has been tested and is safe to drink.

Council has released some water from the main reservoir in town and from the Annan pipeline to flush the system, however it may take another two to three days for the water in town to clear completely and return to its usual quality.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we investigate this matter.
