Cameron Creek Road upgrade progress

Significant upgrades are underway on Cameron Creek Road as Cook Shire Council works to improve safety, drainage, and road durability.

Recent work includes the construction and installation of a drainage structure to manage stormwater, including concrete causeway construction at key road crossings. These will help improve water flow and prevent flooding, ensuring the road remains safe and passable in wet conditions.

Additionally, the team plans to begin bitumen sealing next year during the dry season, reducing future maintenance costs and enhancing safety for all road users.

This project is not only about a better road surface but also about improving accessibility, particularly for school transport and local traffic and emergency services.

Traffic control and project schedule:
Traffic control measures are in place, and drivers are advised to follow road signage.

The upgrades are part of a larger initiative by Council to improve infrastructure and reduce long-term maintenance costs while maintaining environmental sustainability.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve Cameron Creek Road. Stay tuned for more updates!
