The Cooktown Events Centre Gym’s new online membership portal is now live, along with the exciting Merry Fit-mas promotion – just in time for the festive season!
As part of the transition to Council management, Cook Shire Council has been working behind the scenes to ensure a seamless experience for current and new gym members who want to access the facility over the Christmas and New Year period. This marks the first stage of the transition, with future programming and exciting new initiatives set to roll out in the new year.
The Merry Fit-mas promotion offers incredible benefits for those signing up between 11 December and 23 December 2024:
🎄 No joining fees for all new memberships (direct debit or upfront payments).
🎄 Up to 6 weeks of free gym access for members who sign up with a direct debit membership plan.
Memberships will officially activate on 20 December 2024, ensuring members can hit the ground running and make the most of the gym during the holiday period.
To get started, sign up now via the online membership portal at cook.qld.gov.au/merryfitmas. Once registered, members can collect their 24-hour access FOBs at the following times:
- Cooktown Events Centre:
- Friday 20 December 2024 9 AM – 3 PM
- Saturday 21 December 2024 10 AM – 2 PM
- Sunday 22 December 2024 10 AM – 2 PM
- Cook Shire Council Main Administration Building:
- Monday 23 December 2024 8:45 AM – 4: 30 PM
- Tuesday 24 December 2024 8:45 AM – 11:45 AM
