The TC Jasper Community Heroes presentation will also take place during the event, recognising the extraordinary efforts of individuals and groups who stepped up to support their communities during Tropical Cyclone Jasper. This segment of the ceremony is dedicated to honouring their resilience, bravery, and selflessness in the face of adversity, showcasing the true spirit of community in Cook Shire.
Winners and Community Heroes will be announced at the Australia Day Awards ceremony on Sunday 26 January 2025, at the Cooktown Shire Hall. The event will also include the TC Jasper Community Heroes presentation, a Citizenship Ceremony, and a community morning tea.
