Council connects with Community at Coen Muster

Cook Shire Council attended the Coen Muster earlier this week, with the Mayor, Councillors, CEO and Council staff travelled to Coen on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 May, to connect with residents and celebrate community spirit.

Cook Shire Council was proud to support the Coen Muster earlier this week, with the Mayor, Councillors, CEO and Council staff travelling to Coen on to connect with residents and celebrate community spirit.

The Council hosted an information stall across two days, offering locals the opportunity to chat with staff about Council services, upcoming projects, and important topics like disaster management, animal control and community preparedness. It was a great chance for residents to ask questions, share feedback and learn more about how Council is working to support the region.

Adding to the friendly atmosphere, the Councillors and CEO serving up a delicious BBQ dinner on Tuesday evening while enjoying relaxed conversations with residents. Council also joined the community for a shared evening meal and live music on Wednesday evening, celebrating the strong spirit that makes Coen so special.

Council’s Events Team brought extra colour and fun to the Muster, hosting a lively family-friendly afternoon filled with music, games, disco and face painting—creating a space where all ages could come together, laugh and enjoy the day.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Coen community for the warm welcome and wonderful turnout, and look forward to continuing to work together to support and strengthen communities right across the Shire.
