The Festival of Small Halls is making its highly-anticipated return to Cooktown, and this year we have the honour of launching the Winter Tour 2025 right here on Wednesday 2 July!
Following the success and community buzz of last year’s event Festival of Small Halls 2024 – read the story here, Cooktown is once again in the spotlight, kicking off the next leg of this iconic Australian folk tour that brings incredible live music to regional towns across the country.
Presented in partnership with Woodfordia’s Festival of Small Halls, this year’s concert features two stunning musical acts from opposite sides of the globe, coming together for one magical night in Cooktown.
MEET THE ARTISTS
Champagne Weather (Canada)
Making their Australian debut, Canadian folk duo Champagne Weather (James Hill and Anne Janelle) will mesmerise audiences with their signature blend of folk, roots, and modern minimalism. Their music is dreamy, introspective, and emotionally rich — creating what they describe as “strange and beautiful music for strange and beautiful times.”
Charm of Finches (Australia)
Returning to the Small Halls stage are Melbourne sisters Charm of Finches, fresh from international tours and the release of their acclaimed new album Marlinchen In The Snow. Known for their ethereal harmonies, poetic lyrics, and haunting folk-pop sound, these award-winning artists promise a performance that will move and mesmerise.
