Young stars shine at Cook Shire’s Got Talent

To kick off the 2025 Discovery Festival, Council hosted Cook Shireโ€™s Got Talent on Tuesday 17 June. The show lit up the Cooktown Events Centre with an incredible display of local talent. It was fantastic to see so many young performers take to the stage with confidence, creativity, and flair.

From singing and dancing to acrobatics and comedy, every act brought something special โ€” and the crowd loved every moment. A big thank you to everyone who participated, supported, or cheered from the audience. You all made the night one to remember!

It was a pleasure to welcome students from the Hillcrest Christian College Choir and Band, who delivered wonderful supporting acts. Their energy and school spirit were a great addition to the evening.

The evening closed on a high note with a performance from our special guest judge, John Buttigieg โ€” a former Australiaโ€™s Got Talent contestant โ€” who graced us with his exceptional guitar skills. A true treat for the audience!

Congratulations to our winners!
