Six new Australians welcomed in Cook Shire ceremony

Cook Shire Council proudly welcomed six new Australians at a Citizenship Ceremony held in the Council Chambers on Wednesday, 19 November 2025.

The chamber was filled as families, friends, and community members gathered to celebrate the occasion. The ceremony was conducted by Mayor Holmes, with Deputy Mayor Morris,  Cr Coventry and Cr Logan in attendance to support the occasion.

Citizenship ceremonies are a meaningful moment in the lives of residents choosing to call Australia home, and Wednesday’s gathering highlighted the strong community spirit that continues to thrive across Cook Shire.

Council extends warm congratulations to all new citizens and looks forward to their ongoing contribution to the region.
