Public Notice: Splash Park Temporary Closure

Cook Shire Council wishes to advise residents and visitors that the William Daku Splash Park will be temporarily closed from 7:30am tomorrow, Tuesday 2 December 2025, to allow for urgent water leak repairs.

What’s Happening

Council crews, in partnership with the Waterboard, will be undertaking essential repairs to a water leak located adjacent to the Splash Park. The works are scheduled to commence at 7:30am.

What This Means

  • The Splash Park will be closed for the duration of the works
  • The area will be barricaded for public safety
  • Loud noise from concrete cutting equipment is expected
  • We ask that members of the public avoid the area during this time

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. The Splash Park will reopen as soon as repairs are safely completed.
