Splash N’ Play at Cooktown Swimming Pool for the summer holidays

Cook Shire families can beat the heat these school holidays with the return of Splash N’ Play at the Cooktown Swimming Pool.

The popular program will run every Tuesday and Thursday across December and January, offering two hours of water-based fun for children of all ages.

Sessions will be held from 10:30am to 12:30pm on 9, 11, 16 and 18 December 2025, and continue in the new year on 6, 8, 13, 15, 20 and 22 January 2026. Each morning features a mix of games, activities and free play designed to keep kids active, entertained and cool during the summer break.

There’s no registration required—families can simply arrive on the day and join in. Standard pool entry fees apply, and all ages are welcome to take part. Parents and carers are reminded that supervision is required at all times.

Splash N’ Play provides a relaxed, family-friendly way to enjoy the holidays and make the most of Cooktown’s community pool. Whether it’s diving into games or just splashing around with friends, it promises plenty of summer fun.
