Cook Shire Council is inviting the community to a relaxed and informative community update and budget engagement on Thursday 19 February 2026, designed to make it easy to understand how the Council budget works and what projects and priorities are shaping the Shire.
Held upstairs at the Sovereign, with doors opening at 4:45pm, the evening will feature a panel discussion with Council executives, alongside special guest, Matt Smith MP Member for Leichhardt. Community members are encouraged to bring their questions and take part in open conversations with Council teams and executives.
The event will also include information stalls, giving attendees the opportunity to speak one-on-one with Council officers, learn more about Council services, and explore upcoming initiatives. Free canapés will be provided, creating a welcoming and social atmosphere.
