Cook Shire Council advises ratepayers that a small administrative error has been identified on a limited number of paper Rates Notices sent by post.
Electronic (email) Rates Notices are correct and unaffected.
While the amounts payable, fees, charges, levies and due date printed on the notice are correct, the rating period printed on the original paper notice was incorrect.
To ensure documentation is accurate, Cook Shire Council is reprinting and reissuing corrected paper Rates Notices. Ratepayers who receive notices by post may therefore receive two notices in coming days.
The corrected notice will be clearly marked REISSUED.
Please note:
- Both notices may be used to make payment in person
- Only the reissued notice showing the correct rating period should be retained for official and taxation purposes
