Cook Shire Council wishes to advise the Lakeland community that the Lakeland Waste Transfer Station will have a delayed opening today due to access issues.
Staff are currently unable to travel from Laura, with river levels preventing safe passage. The facility will open as soon as water levels recede and it is safe for staff to travel.
Council understands the inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the community’s patience and understanding. An update will be provided once the Waste Transfer Station is operational.
