Arthur Beetson Future Immortals Tour coming to Cooktown

Arthur Beetson Foundation Future Immortals Tour with coaching sessions.

Cooktown is set to welcome the Arthur Beetson Future Immortals Tour, offering young rugby league players an exciting opportunity to develop their skills, meet elite ambassadors, and take part in fun games and community activities.

Thursday 12 March – Youth Coaching Clinic

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
The tour kicks off with two one-hour coaching sessions focused on general techniques and defense, tailored specifically for youth participants. This is the perfect chance for young players to sharpen their skills under expert guidance.

Friday 13 March – Coaching Clinic & BBQ

4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Day two features a coaching session concentrating on general techniques. The session wraps up with a community BBQ, giving players and families the chance to relax, connect, and celebrate the sport.

Saturday 14 March – Junior Rugby Game Day

10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
The tour culminates with a Junior Rugby League 2026 Sign-On and Game Day at John Street Oval. Future Immortals ambassadors will be on hand for fun games, youth engagement activities, and skill drills, creating a vibrant and family-friendly atmosphere.

3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
The afternoon continues with two general game drill sessions for youth, combined with informative talks on nutrition, vaping, exercise, and goal setting. These sessions aim to develop not only skills on the field but also healthy habits and life skills off the field.

Players must bring water bottles and footy boots

Sun safety is encouraged – sunscreen, hats, and hydration recommended
