Cook Shire Council advises residents that Level STOP water restrictions in Coen have now been lifted, effective immediately.
Following recent recovery efforts, water reserves at the treatment plant have now returned to a safe operating level, allowing restrictions to be removed.
Council sincerely thanks the Coen community for their patience, understanding and strong cooperation during this period. The community’s efforts to conserve water played a vital role in protecting the town’s water supply while reserves recovered.
Residents can now return to normal water use. However, Council encourages everyone to continue using water responsibly as a good everyday practice.
