Rossville Family Fun Day set to bring community together these school holidays

Families in Rossville are invited to come together for a free day of fun, connection, and activities at the upcoming Rossville Family Fun Day on Tuesday 14 April 2026.

Families in Rossville are invited to come together for a free day of fun, connection, and activities at the upcoming Rossville Family Fun Day on Tuesday 14 April 2026.

Running from 9am to 1pm at the Rossville Hall and Playground, the event is designed to provide a safe and welcoming space for children and young people of all ages—from toddlers through to teenagers—to enjoy a range of engaging activities during the school holidays.

The day will feature multiple activity zones operating at the same time, allowing families to participate together and move between activities at their own pace.

Children can explore an early years play space with craft, blocks, and playgroup equipment, enjoy inflatables and organised outdoor games, or take part in a variety of indoor and outdoor games including foosball, air hockey, pool, and table tennis.

The event will also incorporate a range of fun and engaging activities focused on storm preparedness and community resilience. These include “Get Ready” inflatable games, a reading of Birdie’s Tree to help children understand and cope with severe weather events, and a hands-on pillowcase decorating activity delivered with the Australian Red Cross to encourage simple, practical preparedness at home.

Lunch will be provided, making it easy for families to relax and enjoy the full morning of activities.

The Rossville Family Fun Day is delivered in partnership with CDCC, the Australian Red Cross, and Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service, supporting opportunities for community connection, wellbeing, and resilience across the region.

This initiative is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.

Families are encouraged to attend and take part in this free community event.
