ELECTRICAL UPGRADE AT BLOOMFIELD OVAL – DATE CHANGED
Please be advised that essential electrical upgrades will take place at Gordon Hickling Oval on Tuesday 19 May – Wednesday 20 May 2026. These works are necessary to improve the reliability and safety of the facilty’s infrastructure.
The project will involve the replacement of the underground power supply, approximately 81m of underground cabling will be renewed as part of these works, ensuring a more dependable and secure electrical system for the oval.
To complete the upgrade, trenching will be carried out along the existing power supply route. This will result in temporary ground disturbance, including open trenches and holes during construction. Some vegetation will also need to be removed to allow safe access and installation.
