Cooktown Library recently hosted a special literary event, An Evening with Trent Dalton, bringing together local readers for an engaging and heartfelt experience.
Fifteen attendees gathered to enjoy an intimate evening of storytelling, reflection and connection as Dalton shared insights into his life, career and creative journey. Joining via livestream, the acclaimed author spoke openly about his work as a journalist and novelist, offering a deeper look into the inspirations behind his writing.
Guests also heard about Dalton’s latest novel, Gravity Let Me Go, alongside reflections on his widely celebrated book Boy Swallows Universe. His warmth and authenticity resonated strongly with the audience, creating a meaningful and personal experience despite the virtual format.
