National Simultaneous Storytime at the Cooktown Library

Cooktown Library to join National Simultaneous Storytime with “Luna Roo – The Kangaroo Baller”

Cooktown families are invited to hop along to a special Storytime event as the Cooktown Library takes part in this year’s National Simultaneous Storytime on Wednesday 27 May. Held during the Cooktown Library’s regular Storytime session at 10:00 AM, the event will feature a reading of Luna Roo – The Kangaroo Baller, a delightful story capturing the spirit of rising to a challenge with heart and grit.

Written by football veterans, Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd, Luna Roo brings the thrill of the game to life with a heartwarming reminder that courage and determination make the ultimate winning team.

While the official national livestream hosted by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) will take place at 12 PM, the Cooktown Library is bringing the magic to local families earlier in the day to fit with its usual Storytime schedule.

National Simultaneous Storytime is an annual event that promotes the value of reading and literacy, connecting children across Australia as they share the same story at libraries, school, and homes.

Bring the kids along for stories, smiles, and plenty of fun for this roo-makrable story. No bookings needed. See you there!
