Russell Creek Bridge Works – Bloomfield Road

Cook Shire Council advises that essential works will soon commence on Russell Creek Bridge, located on Bloomfield Road.

The project involves the replacement of the existing bridge deck to ensure the ongoing safety and reliability of this key transport route.

Key details:

  • Start date: Week commencing Monday, 11 May 2026
  • Duration: Mid-May to mid-July 2026 (weather and site conditions permitting)
  • Works: Replacement of the Russell Creek Bridge deck
  • Traffic management: A traffic diversion will be in place for the duration of the works
  • These works will be undertaken by Cook Shire Council’s internal works team.

Council acknowledges that these works may cause temporary inconvenience and appreciates the community’s patience while this important upgrade is completed. Motorists are asked to follow all signage and directions in place to ensure safety for both workers and road users.
