Laura goes ALL IN for Reconciliation Week

As part of National Reconciliation Week 2026, the community is invited to come together in Laura for a free evening of music, food, family fun and connection at the Laura Community Hall on Thursday 28 May from 6pm.

Celebrated nationally each year, National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about shared histories, cultures and achievements, while exploring how we can move forward together. The 2026 theme, All In, encourages everyone to play a role in building stronger relationships, deeper understanding and a more connected future.

The Laura community event will bring people together in a relaxed and welcoming environment, with live music from Patrick Nandy, children’s activities, special guests from Shake & Stir Theatre Company and a free community dinner.

The evening is designed to celebrate culture, community and connection, while creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to come together and share in the spirit of reconciliation.

Everyone is welcome to attend, with families encouraged to bring the kids along for a fun community night out.
