Cook Shire Council advises that the Cooktown Pool is temporarily closed due to water quality results being outside approved guidelines.
This temporary closure will allow Council to complete the necessary processes to support the safe re-opening of pool. Water samples will be re-tested in Cairns before the pool can re-open.
The pool is expected to remain closed until early next week. Further updates will be provided as soon as possible.
