Please be advised that as part of the events, installations, and festivities for Discovery Festival 2026, temporary road closures will be in place at the below listed times and locations:
SHERRIN ESPLANADE
Details: From Bowls Club to Bicentennial Park for placement of the stage and market stalls.
Dates / Times: Wednesday 17 June (12 noon) until Sunday 21 June (6PM).
CHARLOTTE STREET
Details: From the Top Pub to Sovereign Resort.
Details: For the Fun Run, Gold Delivery, Street Parade, Automotive Muster and Unfenced Asylum Challenge.
Dates / Times: Saturday 20 June, between the hours of 6 AM until 6 PM.
GREEN STREET
Details: Part road closure between Charlotte Street and Hope Street for the Fun Run for Little Athletics.
Dates / Times: Saturday 20 June, between the hours of 6 AM until 8 AM (may re-open earlier).
GRASSY HILL
Details: Full road closure from the corner of Hope Street to the lookout for the Fun Run for Little Athletics.
Dates / Times: Saturday 20 June, between the hours of 6 AM until 8 AM (may re-open earlier).
WALKER STREET
Location: Part road closure from the corner of Charlotte Street to Adelaide Street for the Fun Run and the Street Parade.
Dates / Times: Saturday 20 June, between the hours of 6 AM until 4 PM.
ADELAIDE STREET
Details: Full road closure from Walker Street to Sherrin Esplanade for the Big Fun Run.
Dates / Times: Saturday 20 June, between the hours of 6 AM until 9 AM.
