Cooktown Resilience through Chalk Workshops at the Skate Park.
Colour, creativity and community connection will take over the Cooktown Skate Park this July with two free Chalk Workshops designed to bring people together through art, fun and resilience-building activities.
Join in two free community chalk workshops on Wednesday 1 July and Thursday 2 July, featuring creative chalk art, community connection, and practical bushfires and disaster preparedness information.

From 11:00AM to 3:00PM, the Skate Park will transform into a colourful community canvas during a free drop-in chalk drawing session open to all ages.
Children, families and community members are encouraged to stop by throughout the day to take part in collaborative chalk art activities with a free BBQ lunch available!
The Bushfire CRRO team will be onsite with a family-friendly information stall focused on bushfire awareness, disaster resilience, and staying prepared during the dry season.

Join a dedicated chalk art workshop for teens and adults will be held on Thursday 2 July from 11:00AM to 2:45PM.
With a guided chalk art session and opportunity to work together to create vibrant artwork, this is a fun filled day you don’t want to miss!
The free workshops include a BBQ lunch break and the Bushfire CRRO team will be onsite throughout the day, providing valuable information about practical bushfire and disaster preparedness.
Places are limited to 10 participants and bookings are essential.
