Congratulations to Cooktown State School student, Xania Gordon who was drawn as the winner of the “Spin in and Win with Council” activity at the recent Cooktown Careers Expo.
Xania, a Year 11 student, was randomly selected as the winner of a pair of Apple AirPods 4 following a draw conducted after the event.
The Cooktown Careers Expo brought together students, employers, training providers and industry representatives from across the region, providing an opportunity for young people to explore future education, training and employment pathways.
Council’s interactive expo stall encouraged students to engage with Council staff, learn more about the diverse range of careers available in local government and enter the prize draw.
Thank you to all the students who visited the stall and participated in the activity, as well as the organisers and exhibitors who helped make the Careers Expo a valuable experience for local young people.
Xania will receive her prize during the Cooktown State School parade on Wednesday 25 June.
