Looking for a fun after-school activity? Young people aged 6–12 years are invited to join a free six-week drumming program at Rossville Hall.
Running throughout August and September, the free after-school workshops will give young school-aged children the chance to explore rhythm, make music together and enjoy a fun, welcoming environment after the school day.
More than just learning to keep a beat, the interactive sessions use rhythm and group activities to help build confidence, strengthen communication and teamwork skills, develop self-expression and creating new friendships.
The workshops will run every Thursday from 6 August to 17 September (excluding 20 August), with two age-specific sessions:
Ages 6–8 years: 2.35 pm – 3.05 pm
Ages 9–12 years: 3.05 pm – 4.00 pm
Children are welcome to arrive from 2.30pm, with supervision available until 4.00pm, and afternoon tea and drinks will be provided.
To ensure every child gets the most out of the program, places are limited to 12 participants per age group. Registering secures your child’s place in the full six-week program, with families encouraged to attend all sessions where possible.
The workshops are free, but places are limited and bookings are essential.
