At 2:54pm Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) informed Council’s office that they will be carrying out bridge inspections and servicing at the Wallaby Creek bridge on Shiptons Flat Road.
Crews will be on site from Saturday 8 August 2026 to Monday 10 August 2026. For the safety of road users and maintenance crews intermittent full closures will be in place from 7am to 5pm. Queued traffic will be coordinated by traffic controllers and let through in each direction at the beginning of every hour.
Work crews will ensure emergency service vehicles and school buses are provided with access if required.
Variable Message Signs (VMSs) will be in place on the approaches to the work site to ensure motorists are aware of the changed traffic conditions. Changes in dates due to poor weather will be posted on the VMS.
