Let creativity grow at Cook Shire Libraries these school holidays

Get ready to plant some creativity, get crafty and let imaginations grow! Cook Shire Libraries are bringing a garden full of FREE school holiday fun to Cooktown, Lakeland and Bloomfield this September and October.

Across both weeks of the school holidays, young creators can roll up their sleeves for hands-on garden-inspired craft sessions, with something different to make each week.

From decorating mini terracotta pots and porcelain hanging baskets to creating colourful arrangements with foliage and flowers, there will be plenty of opportunities to make, create and take home something special.

And the fun doesn’t stop when the scheduled sessions finish. Cooktown Library will also have a gardening-themed Community Collage growing throughout the entire school holidays, along with a colouring-in competition open to everyone in the community.

All activities are free, making it an easy school holiday outing for families looking for something creative to do.

Drop into Cooktown Library throughout both weeks and add your creative touch to the gardening-themed Community Collage. Watch it grow and change as more members of the community contribute during the school holidays.

There will also be a colouring-in competition available throughout the holidays, with everyone in the community welcome to get involved.
