It turns out there are plenty of curious minds and science lovers around Cooktown, with an incredible response to the chance to see one of Australia’s best-known science communicators live on stage.

A big night of science is coming to Cooktown!
Dr Karl Kruszelnicki AM will take to the stage at the Cooktown Events Centre on Friday 30 October for An Evening with Dr Karl: The Science of Survival.
The evening will dive into the fascinating science behind disasters, extreme weather, the natural world and human resilience, with plenty of big questions, surprising answers and Dr Karl’s trademark humour and curiosity along the way.
