A bit about the author
Growing up on a sheep and cattle property in western Queensland, Lachlan Terry developed a lifelong appreciation for the people, landscapes and stories of the Australian outback.
He’s worn plenty of hats over the years, from photographer and radio DJ to traveller, Scouts Australia leader, home barber and small business owner. Each experience has added another chapter to a life full of stories.
For more than 20 years, Lachlan has also lived with Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS), a rare neurological condition. Throughout that time, he’s continued to embrace life’s opportunities with the resilience and practical outlook he developed growing up in the bush.
His memoir, Memories Belonga Me, brings together family oral histories, research and personal experiences to capture the stories of pioneering families, station life and inland Australia’s rich heritage, helping preserve them for generations to come.
