2025 Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony

Join us at the Cooktown Shire Hall for a special celebration to honour the outstanding contributions of individuals and groups within our community.

The ceremony will include the presentation of the Australia Day Awards, recognising local heroes who have made a significant impact in Cook Shire. A highlight of the day will be the Cyclone Jasper Hero Awards, which will acknowledge the bravery and resilience shown by individuals during the 2023 cyclone.

Following the ceremony, all are invited to enjoy a morning tea, offering a chance to mingle and celebrate with your fellow community members.
