Community Choir – Cooktown

Cook Shire community members are invited to connect through the joy of music as part of Stronger Together — a free community choir program that will bring singers from across the region together for a special combined performance at the Cooktown Discovery Festival in June.

Led by choir leaders Jane Younghusband and Merindi Schrieber, the program is designed to build connection, confidence, wellbeing and resilience through a series of fun, relaxed and inclusive local workshops. No auditions or previous experience are needed!

The initiative forms part of ongoing disaster recovery and resilience-building efforts across the region, using music to strengthen social connection, participation, inclusion and community wellbeing across disaster-affected communities.

Lunch and afternoon tea will be provided. Bookings essential.
