NAIDOC Elders Lunch

Celebrating the Wisdom, Leadership and Legacy of Our Elders

The Cooktown NAIDOC Elders Lunch is a special opportunity to honour the cultural knowledge, leadership and lifelong contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders within our community.

As part of the 50 Years of Deadly theme, this year’s celebration recognises the generations of Elders whose strength, resilience and guidance have helped preserve culture, language, stories and traditions for future generations.

Guests will enjoy a delicious lunch, entertainment, games, lucky door prizes and an opportunity to reconnect with friends while celebrating the people who continue to inspire and strengthen our community.

The Elders Lunch remains one of the most meaningful events on the Cooktown NAIDOC Week calendar and reflects the deep respect held for those who have shaped our communities.
