Every community has people who make a difference. They lend a hand, bring people together, share their talents and give their time to the places and people they care about.
The 2027 Australia Day Awards are an opportunity to celebrate those contributions. If you know a person or group whose efforts have made Cook Shire a better place, nominate them and help ensure their work is recognised.

How to nominate
Complete the 2027 online nomination form, or pick up a paper form from any Cook Shire library or Council’s main administration office at 10 Furneaux Street, Cooktown.
Nominations close 5pm Monday 9 November 2026.
