Please be advised that as part of the events, installations, and festivities for Discovery Festival 2024, temporary road closures will be in place at the below listed times and locations

SHERRIN ESPLANADE

Details: Between Bowls Club and the Captain Cook Statue for placement of the stage and market stalls at Lion's Park

Dates / Times: Wednesday, 12 June (12 noon) until Monday, 17 June (12 noon)

CHARLOTTE STREET

Details: From the Top Pub to Sovereign Resort

Details: For Big Fun Run for Little Athletcis, Gold Delivery, Street Parade, Cape York Automotive Muster and Unfenced Asylum Challenge

Dates / Times: Saturday 15 June, between the hours of 6 am - 5 pm

GREEN STREET

Details: Part road closure between Charlotte Street and Hope Street for the Big Fun Run for Little Athletics

Dates / Times: Saturday 15 June, between the hours of 6 - 9 am (may re-open earlier)

GRASSY HILL

Details: Full road closure from the corner of Hope Street to the lookout for the Big Fun Run for Little Athletics (emergency vehicles only)

Dates / Times: Saturday 15 June, between the hours of 6 am - 9 am (may re-open earlier)

Residents will be duly informed. 

WALKER STREET

Location: Part road closure from corner Charlotte Street to Adelaide Street for the Big Fun Run and the Street Parade

Dates / Times: Saturday 15 June, between the hours of 6 am - 12 noon

ADELAIDE STREET

Details: Full road closure from Walker Street to Sherrin Esplanade for the Big Fun Run

Dates / Times: Saturday 15 June, between the hours of 6 am - 9 am
