Free* Dumping Days
Prepare for the unpredictable with our Extreme Weather Clean-Up Days! Safeguard your property and your family from potential hazards by taking advantage of our free* disposal service for various types of waste.
From Saturday 19 October until Sunday 3 November (inclusive) all Waste Transfer Stations will be accepting a number of waste streams free of charge, providing thtat all waste is sorted.

During this time, you can dispose of the following items for free:
- Green Waste: Palm fronds, branches, trees, coconuts
- Mixed Construction Materials: Treated timber, old fence posts, pallets, plasterboard, plywood, etc.
- Packing Materials: Plastic and cardboard packaging
- Outdoor Furniture: Excludes beds and mattresses
- Broken Wheelie Bins
- Asbestos: Up to 200L, double-wrapped in 0.2mm plastic (Visqueen), sealed with tape, and clearly marked
- Scrap Metal: Excludes gas-containing white goods and pressurized vessels like fire extinguishers and gas bottles
- Car Batteries
- E-Waste: TVs, computers, printers, and accessories
- Regulated Waste: Up to 20L of oils, paints, and coolants
- Chemicals and Pesticides: Up to 5L
Fees and charges will apply for:
- Tyres
- Mixed household and commercial waste
- Beds & mattresses
- Fridges, freezers, air-conditioners
- Concrete, soil, bricks
*Note: All waste must be pre-sorted into single waste streams. Mixed or unsorted waste will incur charges according to council fees and charges.
