Cook Shire’s Got Talent 2026

Step into the spotlight at Cook Shire’s Got Talent 2026, a much-loved community event celebrating youth talent, creativity and confidence in the lead up to the Cooktown Discovery Festival.

Young performers aged 5 to 25 years are invited to showcase their talents, from singing and dancing to comedy, music, magic and more, in front of a live audience at the Cooktown Events Centre.

Winners will also have the opportunity to perform on the Cooktown Discovery Festival main stage.

New for 2026 is the Junior Judge opportunity, giving one passionate young person the chance to join the official judging panel and be part of one of Cooktown’s most exciting youth events.

Junior Judge applications close Friday 29 May 2026. To apply, applicants must email mail@cook.qld.gov.au in 200 words or less explaining why they would make a great Junior Judge.
