The wait is over — the Cooktown Swimming Pool is reopening!
After a few weeks closed, the Cooktown Swimming Pool is getting ready to welcome the community back — and the reopening calls for a big day of free fun!
On Saturday 19 September, the pool will officially reopen its doors, with the whole community invited to jump back in the water, catch up with friends and family and celebrate the return of a much-loved Cooktown community space.
Pool entry is FREE from 10am to 4.30pm, with Open Day activities running from 10am to 2pm.
There’ll be plenty happening throughout the day, including free food and drinks while supplies last and a lucky door prize, with prizes announced on the day.

Whether you’re keen to be among the first people back in the water, bringing the kids along for some holiday-style fun, meeting up with mates or simply wanting to see the pool back in action, everyone is welcome to join the celebrations.
After a few weeks away, the reopening is more than just another day at the pool. It’s a chance for the Cooktown community to come together and celebrate the return of a place where people swim, play, relax, socialise and make memories.
So pack the swimmers, round up the family and make a day of it!
